Freeware Offerings

During the development of Practical Apps products and personal project, I have, at times, wound up with components which we are required to make available due to GNU licensing issues or which, while useful, don't warant packaging and supporting. I provide these components hear as Freeware under the GNU Lesser General Public License.

SmartLinc X10 Timer is a little app which allows you to use the SmartHome SmartLinc Insteon Controller to control up to eight X10 devices based on a schedule you define.

I basically developed this program so I could schedule my lawn watering, which is controlled by a Rain8 controller connected to a X10 PSC05, but it should work with any X10 device(s) which you wish to have on a timed schedule.

AKRipCOM is a an ActiveX COM object wrapper to Jay Andrew Key's open source AKRip CD-DA Audio Extraction Library (http://akrip.sourceforge.net/). AKRipCOM is written in MS Visual C++.

LAMECOM is a an ActiveX COM object for access to the LAME MP3 encoding library (lame_enc.dll). LAMECOM is written in MS Visual C++.
